Story Of
belinechocolate's
The history of Baline Chocolate started when a tour guide named I Ketut Widana felt disappointed and frustrated when he accompanied his guests to buy chocolate products as souvenirs, only to discover that the chocolates were made in neighbour countries. Driven by the desire to bring locally-made Balinese chocolates as souvenirs, Ketut decided to learn and attend classes to master the art of chocolate making.
In 2007, he successfully produced ready-to-consume chocolates packaged with the essence of Bali’s identity, featuring motifs of Wayang (shadow puppetry), Tari Kecak (Kecak d]Dance), Poleng (a Balinese checkered cloth), Bunga Jepun (Frangipani flower), and Barong Ket (a mythological creature).
